Tutorial How to Link2sd for any custom rom especially MIUI 7

Hello guys 

Here I am posting a helpful tutorial for app2sd pro app

Its a very important app now a days for low internal space devices becoz all app getting more size on every update so we lost an application memory on every 10 app updates.

for example 2year ago Facebook app size was just 6mb and now it is 45mb. As we have a limited app storage in our Lenovo S930 we can't install more than 30 apps now a days, also can't install and play heavy games... So how can we install more apps and play heavy games

Answer‬ and solution is app2sd pro app

App2sd pro app having feature move apps‬ with all apps data to memory card (partition need ) so that we never face app/internal storage full issue (playstore not working for installing apps, insufficient storage issue, phone hanging issue etc etc). No matter which rom u r using… it will work for sure in all kk roms in our Lenovo S930..so lets start tutorial

‎Disclaimer‬/Warning- 

app2sd app will work on partitioned card... App will create the partition on ur sd card so backup ur card data to pc first otherwise u will lost ur data also if u miss any step more chance memory card may got corrupted. so be carefull,, also if anyone lost anything or faced any mishappeing just by his wrong process then dont dare to finger on me. 

Process‬

1. Backup your card data to pc we will restore that data after partitioning and setting up all app2sd features we need. 

2. Root access need to work app2sd so if you are not rooted then leave the post or root your phone first 

3. Download and install busy pro from below link

BusyBox Pro

4. Open busy box app-give root acces when ask-click install tab minimize busybox after installing 

5. Download and install app2sd pro app from below link - don't run app

6. Open app2sd pro app-give root access when ask-now u will see the menu of app2sp app we jsut need to create partition on sd card NOTE - all data on card will be formatted while partition will create

6(a). Click on partition option in app2sd app then set the value of first partition which will be create for user data (for example if you using 32 gb card u will got 29.xx gb for use normally… you have to set it almost 26.xx GB and set partition type as FAT32

6(b). Set 2nd partition which we will use for moving apps and apps data set it 3072mb (3GB exactly) and partition type will be ext4 as our phone support ext4 partition (tick last box too)

6(c)- Set 3rd partition for swap if u using heavy games( technically swap partition is not a partition it’s a file which contain storage as u set which can be use for expanding ram, and expanding swap memory) set it as u want but not more than 512mb—(this is optional step if u not paly games then leave that step and don’t tick the partition )

6(d). When u set all three partitions click on create tab, partitioning will start and phone will reboot, click reboot

6(e). When reboot done open app2sd app again and click on app2sd (first option) then app will ask that storage not ready reboot to make storage ready... click on reboot (remember click on REBOOT), phone will reboot and all partition will format and will be ready for use

6(f). After reboot done open app2sd app again and click on app2sd option in app menu then select an app then click link/unlink then on next screen click select all and finally click link/unlink again... app will move selected app and app data to card and same memory from ur internal storage will be freeup…

6(g). Do same for heavy apps (suggestion-don’t move instant massenging apps like whatsapp, imo, etc moved app may not run automatically sometimes so u may miss some calls )

7. After moving apps to sd card now click on swap option then just enable swap file u created (gionee m2 having its own 512mb inbuilt swap file just enable it if u created swap on creating partition then it will showing it too below the default swap file enable it too

8. Open app2sd app setting then tick all box under the auto move apps tab. This feature will move all app to sd which u will install from play store or which u will restore from titanium backup or any backup (this is optional if u don’t want to move app automatically then don’t enable this feature)

9. Reboot your device and use for some tyme and check all apps... well every app u moved working well and phone now working more smoothly and no more storage issue no more play store insufficient storage issue, and more free ram on miui now it will increase 500mb+ ram 

10. Copy back ur data to card from ur pc

11. Limitation after partitioning- ur storage will not mount on pc as it now having ext4 partition which not supports on windows… u can mount storage on windows pc as mtp mode (miui default storage mount mode)
